Does it cost anything?

The core app is free, with a full experience at no cost. An optional upgrade, Precursor+, adds more features: up to 8 limit groups, the 30-minute reset window, and longer time limits. It is a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase ($4.99/month, $49.99/year, or $99.99 once). All purchases are handled by Apple.

At it’s core Precursor is meant to help people interact with their phone more intentionally, because of that, the app will always retain it’s core function without upgrading. The upgrade is genuinely optional, and for those who A) want a bit more flexibility with their screen time control and/or B) want to support a solo indie developer on their journey.
